New starters at the Trust
We hope that our new starters are as excited to be joining us as we are to be welcoming them to the Trust. We genuinely value the commitment of our employees and our induction programmes are designed to inspire a rewarding and long-lasting relationship.
Our induction programmes are built in three parts, to ensure all our new starters are supported to work at their very best, no matter where they work in the Trust.
Core induction day
All new starters attend a core induction day where we welcome everyone to the Trust and explain more about our core values and their importance and how we will work with you to develop your skills and expertise throughout your career with us.
There will also be an opportunity to meet some of the teams within the Trust that are there to support you – from Human Resources and Counselling to Recovery and staffside representatives.
Divisional/directorate and departmental inductions
All staff will complete a divisional/directorate induction programme which will cover most of the essential training required for each specific role. Because each role within the Trust has different requirements, this part of each person’s induction programme, including its length, will vary.
The final stage of our induction pathway is the departmental induction aimed at supporting new staff day to day as they start their new role.
Completing the induction programme
The core day and divisional/directorate induction sessions are held at Duncan MacMillan House and the Mike Harris Learning and Organisational Development Centre at Rampton Hospital.
All new starters can also register for our web-based e-induction, which provides further information about the Trust and offers the flexibility to complete some training sessions via e-learning at a convenient time and place.
