Nottinghamshire Healthcare is committed to developing Trust colleagues’ skills in leadership and management and we offer a range of courses to support this:
Management Essentials is a modular suite of management sessions available for all levels of staff within the organisation who are either starting out on their management career or want to refresh their skills.
Clinical Team Leader development
We offer band 6 Clinical Team Leader development training to support those moving into this management role, which is a pivotal post within a clinical team.
Vision 21 Middle Management Development Programme is our management programme for band 7, 8a and 8b managers, with a strong focus on emotional intelligence. Each graduate of Vision21 has the opportunity to undertake a ‘talent conversation’ with an Associate Director or Deputy to discuss their skills and experience. This allows us to create a ‘talent map’ for the organisation, which can help identify potential future leaders and match our managers with career opportunities.
The Trust regularly hosts internal leadership conferences that bring together leaders at all levels to develop a greater understanding of the complexity of each other’s roles and to consider the evolving but common purpose of healthcare delivery.
